My experience with law enforcement includes over 45 total years’ service to Newnan and Coweta County, 17 years with Newnan Police Department and 28 years with Coweta County Sheriff’s Office. I stress to all my Deputies the importance of treating everyone with respect, because you gain respect by giving it first.

Accomplishments as Sheriff

  • Started up the Governor’s Highway Safety HEAT Unit to combat traffic deaths
  • Started up the Human Trafficking Unit to combat Human Trafficking in Coweta
  • Assigned someone to handle the ICAC (Internet Crimes against Children) to stop predators from using the internet to gain access to our children
  • Partnered with “On Patrol Live” to ride with our Patrol units to further our challenge to be more transparent about what we do, how we do it and why
  • Able to achieve 95% fully staffed agency
  • Dealt with COVID Pandemic
  • Worked with partners, Government and private, during the Tornado recovery and continuing
  • Built a stronger relationship with the County Government to work together for protection of all our residents
